10 Great Makeup Products £5 & Under

Hey guys!!

Today I am going to be sharing with you some of my favourite makeup items that are under £5..

Rimmel Professional Eyebrow Pencil
This is great for those of you that want an affordable way to do your brows. It is an eyebrow pencil that comes with a little brush on the lid which is great if you are just starting out with makeup. I find that it applies easily and can be sheer or really pigmented depending on how much pressure you use when applying. I barely have any eyebrows (thin eyebrows used to be a thing..) and the hairs that I do have are very fair so this does the job adding colour. I would say that the pencil lasts all day but I do always set my eyebrows with a eyebrow gel of some description but I love how natural my brows can look with this product.

Barry M Dazzle Dust Eyeshadow
These are basically an eyeshadow pigment although I believe you can also get glitter and they are great. They totally remind me of the MAC pigments except these are way more affordable. You can use them just on their own or I recommend to use MAC's fix + or any other eye safe makeup spray since it will make the application easier and also intensify the pigmentation.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
I love this concealer and I literally use it nearly every day. It has a great coverage but it is also easy to blend out with a damp beauty sponge. I use the lightest shade so that it conceals but also brightens my under eye area. I find that when I set it with a powder (I prefer loose powder) it lasts all day and doesn't crease. It claims to last 16 hours but I really don't tend to leave my makeup on that long! This I believe also comes in colour correcting shades.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting Powder
If you love having a glowy face then you will definitely love these highlighters, not only are they ridiculously affordable they are also highly pigmented and give your skin a gorgeous sheen. There are lots of different shades of these and I believe they also make duo chrome ones! To start with I feel as though there is a slight overspray but once you've 'broke the seal' so to speak you're good to glow..

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
You know I've got to mention this I mean it's only like one of the most famous setting powders ever. I've used this since I first started out with makeup and I still use it on a daily basis now. It gives you a little extra coverage and does a great job of keeping you matte. I have so many of these floating around my house and in my bags and whenever I'm out I nearly always have one on me. My biggest complaint is the packaging because the compact has a clear plastic lid and I don't know if I'm just proper clumsy but it always seems to crack! But the product inside is gold.

Sleek Blush
These blushes are great if you are just starting out with makeup, you get a decent amount of product and the blush itself is pretty pigmented so you only need a little bit to get a good colour pay off. Some of the shades are matte but then you do get some shimmer shades which are awesome for giving your skin a subtle sheen. Theres a bunch of different colours that are going to be great for a variety of different skin tones.

I Heart Makeup Summer Of Love Bronzer
So I Heart Makeup makes a bunch of these bronzers/blushes/highlighters, they even make a rainbow highlighter for all you dare devils out there! These I would say are very comparable to the Too Faced boxed blushes and bronzers but these are way more affordable. Theres a bunch of different shades to choose from but I personally love all of the bronzers because they warm up your face but also give you a nice little sheen thats makes you look sun kissed.

MUA Lipstick
So for starters you have a bunch of different shades to choose from which is great and these lipsticks are really really affordable. The formula itself is pretty creamy and can slide around a little bit but if you just use a little bit of a translucent setting powder over the top then you will be able to matte these down which will make then last longer.

NYX Professional Makeup Lip Liner Pencil
So. Many. Colours. Seriously on Boots.com I've literally counted 40 different colours! So you'll definitely be able to find a shade that you are after. Now I love MAC lip pencils but they can be pretty pricey so I love these for a cheap alternative. They are great and last a really long time on the lips. They can be a little bit dry to start with but if you use a hair dryer or a lighter (don't burn yourself) for like 2 seconds then you will make it more creamy and it won't drag as much. I live in the UK so maybe my makeup is just cold lol! My favourite shades are '1000 years' which is like MAC's stone and 'Natural' which is like my lips but better.

Collection Lasting Colour Gel Eyeliner
This is another product that I've used for years and I find it works great for getting a pigmented black waterline that stays on for a decent amount of time. This product includes a little brush which is great if you're just starting out and the way I like to use this is to apply the gel eyeliner on my waterline and then set with a black eyeshadow and that seems to keep it on much longer. I find on my eyes that no eyeliner in my waterline lasts all day. I will also say that this is great for having that smoked out under eye since it blends really well but stays pigmented.
