Drugstore Foundation Routine | 2018

Hey loves!

Today I thought I would share with you my current go-to drugstore foundation routine.

Loreal Infallible 24 Hour Foundation
I feel like I've mentioned this foundation a few times now but I have just been loving it so much recently because it's just like perfect for my dry skin. It's not ultra dewy so that it doesn't really set and ends up sliding around my face throughout the day and transferring on everything my face comes into contact with but it also isn't matte so it doesn't exaggerate my dry skin. This foundation lasts really long on my skin and it's really comfortable. It has great coverage and it's ideal for me on an everyday basis.

Revolution Concealer
I have been obsessed with this concealer ever since I picked it up, I for one can definitely not get over the price point for this concealer because it performs better than some of my high end concealers! It doesn't get cakey underneath my eyes and it doesn't crease (although I always set my under eyes with some sort of powder). I will say I feel like I got through a tube of this concealer pretty quickly and I wouldn't say I use it any different than any of my other concealers but anyway I will definitely be picking up some more and I highly recommend this concealer to anyone as I feel like this would be great for all skin types.

Rimmel Match Perfection Loose Powder
For quite a while now I have preferred setting my under eye area with a loose powder. I've tried a few and this is definitely one of my favs from the drugstore. It makes my under area look really smooth and it doesn't add any weird looking texture. It keeps my eye area matte but not dry pretty much all day long and it takes me forever to get through one of these containers.

Maybelline Fit Me Powder
This has been a powder that I have been trying out for a little minute now and I don't know why I didn't try it before because I've been really enjoying it and it does exactly what I want a pressed powder to do - keep my face looking matte in the areas that I want which is usually my smile lines since foundation seems to love sinking in to them and on my nose and in-between my eyebrows as this is the area that is most likely to get any oils.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder Bronzer
This is easily one of my favourite bronzers from the drugstore because it's really natural but still gives  colour to the skin. I never have any problems with blending this bronzer, it doesn't skip on my skin or ever look muddy. I do only really focus on the darker side as blended together it doesn't show up on my skin as much as I would like my bronzer to and it is a warm bronzer but it doesn't show up orangey on my skin tone.

Milani 'Luminoso' Baked Blush
I'm really not a blush girl so there are only a few blushes that I actually like and will actually wear and Luminoso is definitely one of my favourites, it's pretty pigmented so I do have to go in with a light hand because I don't like my blush to look super obvious but what I love about this blush is it gives a subtle sheen. This helps my skin look much healthier and it doesn't look chalky on the skin. It blends in really naturally and I think this shade suits my skin tone perfectly.

Maybelline Master Strobing Stick
I've mentioned this highlighter quite a few times on my blog and I love using this as like a primer for my powder highlights. It's great to use on it's own if you are into a more natural lit from within highlight, I use it on it's own if I'm having a really dry skin day and I think adding a powder highlight will show my dry patches.

Sleek 'Solstice' Highlighter Palette
I'm sure everyone has heard about this highlighter palette because in my opinion it is one of the best palettes to come out of the drugstore and I do even prefer it over some of my more high end products. In this palette you get 4 highlighting shades, one is a cream and the others are powders. They are ultra pigmented and you only need a small amount of product and people will see you glowing from out of space!! I love how reflective the shades are but they are still really easy to work with and blend in.

Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist
This is a great little product if you love having a facial spray to finish up your makeup look. Now this is not marketed as a setting spray or anything like that so it's not going to prolong the life of your makeup in anyway but I love spraying this on my face once I've finished up because it takes away any powdery-ness on my face. If I'm having a particularly dry skin day I will use this after my moisturiser and before I apply my foundation so that my face looks even more hydrated. I love the way this bottle sprays as well (weird I know) but it is a nice fine mist and doesn't interfere with my makeup in any way.
