Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frosts | Ice Cold, Princess Cut

Hey guys!!

I'm back at it again with the highlighters - I seriously promise I will start writing about other things! I am just a total highlighter junkie and proud. You know the 'full face using only highlighters' challenge? Yeah thats me all day everyday... Well I wish. So anyway today I'm going to be talking about the Jeffree Star Skin Frosts. I have heard so much about these since the came out and I am an OG lover of Jeffree Star and I love the direction in which his brand is going so I had to pick these up.

For starters can we seriously appreciate how HUGE the compact is for this product?! No joke I struggle to fit these in my makeup storage solution.. I'm definitely not complaining though! So you get 15g/0.53oz worth of product for around £25.50 GBP (BeautyBay) which is a steal compared to say MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish which is £24.50 GBP (maccosmetics) and you get 10g/0.35oz worth of product.

So the packaging is a gorgeous bright barbie pink - (pink is my favourite colour ever) and I think that really caught my attention when going to purchase this product because I'm sorry I am a sucker for packaging! The compact itself is sturdy - although I don't know how well it would travel since 'this product has a unique soft buttery formula' it has a HUGE mirror which I'm pretty sure you could do your whole face of make up with. The highlighter has the Jeffree Star logo pressed in which I think is a nice finishing touch. I use these highlighters with a Morphe M510 brush and I apply it to the top of my cheekbones, a little bit down my nose and on my cupids bow. For a really intense look I will spray some Fix + on brush before I dip into the highlighter and that just makes it intense. I believe that all of Jeffree Star's Skin Frosts are eye safe as well apart from Regina George. So they would look great as a inner corner highlight on the eye.

As you can see from the swatches above (ft my orange looking hand) the highlighters are absolutely blinding, they are seriously pigmented with one swipe and they just glow! The shades that I have I would say would be best suited for those that have a fair complexion. I have to use Ice Cold pretty carefully because it is so bright I can almost get like a white line! (For reference I am NW20/NW25 @ MAC). But Jeffree Star has so many different shades in his Skin Frost line that I'm definitely sure you can find a shade that will suit your complexion.

How do these highlighters compare with others on the market? Well I have some swatches for you - I have compared the Skin Frosts to other well known and loved highlighters.
