My Favourite Hair Care Products

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to be talking about my favourite hair products and how and why I use them. I probably should start off by saying that I have platinum blonde hair which I achieved through a lot of bleaching and I've had this colour for around 6 years. So a lot of the products I'm going to mention I use because I find they really help to improve the quality of my hair.

Joico Shampoo and Conditioner
So the first shampoos and conditioners that I love to use are from Joico. This brand is slightly higher in price than some others but I find that it does really help me to manage my hair condition. I always like to change the shampoo and conditioner I use pretty regularly just so my hair doesn't get too used to it (if thats even a thing). Basically I find when I use the same products over and over again I find that I stop having the same affect that I had when I first started using it. If that makes any sense? Anyway some of the products I like to use are; K-Pak shampoo and conditioner for Damaged Hair, Moisture Recovery shampoo and conditioner and I also love the K-Pak Deep Penetrating Deep Reconstructor Treatment - although I only use this like once a month.

Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioner
These are very affordable great shampoos and conditioners. Again I don't use a specific I will just purchase a different kind every time I repurchase and I find these all leave my hair in a great condition. I love all the scents and I just find my hair loves this stuff! It doesn't get dry or dull looking and it has a nice sheen. This stuff doesn't irritate my scalp and does a great job at getting hairspray and product residue off my hair.

Hair masks
I love to use hair masks every so often because I find that they really help. I love to leave mine in for around an hour and when I rinse them out my hair is so soft and not frizzy. I love to use; Macadamia Deep Repair Mask, TRESemme Keratin Smooth Mask and the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment.

Coconut Oil
A great natural way to look after your hair is to use an oil. I personally love using coconut oil which I will put on just as a treatment or I will use when I'm actually bleaching my hair since it helps keep my hair from becoming all dry and crispy feeling. You could leave this on overnight and wake up with soft silky hair (just make sure you sleep with a towel!). I prefer to buy my coconut oil at the supermarket pure rather than try and find a hair brand that makes it since I know it's more natural from a supermarket.

Where to find
At your local supermarket.

Give your hair a break
The last bit of advice I can give you is to try not to wash your hair every single day. Your hairs natural oil is great for repairing and moisturising your hair. Believe it or not I've literally trained my hair to only be washed 1-2 times a week - and it definitely doesn't look greasy so don't be scared! Dry shampoo is great for taking some of the oily appearance away in between washes, I love the Batiste dry shampoo. Trust me after a little while your hair gets used to it and I definitely think my hair has got way better over the years and I do put some of it down to not washing it so much!
