Summer Essentials | Hair, Makeup & Fragrance | 2018

Hey loves,

Today I thought I would share with you my summer essentials in terms of hair, makeup and fragrance.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a must for me in the summer months because my hair can tend to get pretty oily but also dry at the ends and I don't want to be washing my hair like 100 times a week so I find that dry shampoo is a life saver. It helps absorb some of the oils and allows me to have more time between washes even when it's hot. I've tried a few different dry shampoos and Batiste is my favourite.

Price
£2.99 for 200ml - superdrug.com
£4.99 for 400ml - superdrug.com

Babyliss Wave Envy
In the summer I enjoy doing more with my hair and one of my favourite styles to wear is the crimped look. I love using this hot tool because the waves can look really natural, some crimpers have a habit of making your hair look a little frizzy but this doesn't do that! My hair will also hold this style until it's next wash so it's really convenient for me.

Hair Routine | Bleaching & Extensions | 2018

Hey loves!

Today I thought I would share with you my hair routine!

**I am not a professional but I am sharing with you what works for me, if you are interested in doing any of things I mention then I suggest you get some professional advice first!!**

Step 1
So before I really start doing anything on my hair I like to try and leave washing my hair for as long as possible. Gross I know and I don't know if there is anything in it but I feel like when I bleach my hair when it is more oily it doesn't feel as damaged afterwards. So once my hair is basically ready to be able to fry chips I removed my old hair extensions. My favourite hair extensions of choice are micro loops and I remove them by unclipping the bead carefully with a pair of pliers.

My Favourite Hair Care Products

Hey guys!

Today I'm going to be talking about my favourite hair products and how and why I use them. I probably should start off by saying that I have platinum blonde hair which I achieved through a lot of bleaching and I've had this colour for around 6 years. So a lot of the products I'm going to mention I use because I find they really help to improve the quality of my hair.

Joico Shampoo and Conditioner
So the first shampoos and conditioners that I love to use are from Joico. This brand is slightly higher in price than some others but I find that it does really help me to manage my hair condition. I always like to change the shampoo and conditioner I use pretty regularly just so my hair doesn't get too used to it (if thats even a thing). Basically I find when I use the same products over and over again I find that I stop having the same affect that I had when I first started using it. If that makes any sense? Anyway some of the products I like to use are; K-Pak shampoo and conditioner for Damaged Hair, Moisture Recovery shampoo and conditioner and I also love the K-Pak Deep Penetrating Deep Reconstructor Treatment - although I only use this like once a month.

Clip In Hair Extensions VS Micro-Loop Extensions | Hair Care

Hey guys!!

Today I thought I could share with you today some pros and cons for both clip in extensions and micro loop extensions and ultimately which ones I prefer and would recommend.

I have been wearing hair extensions for around the best part of 7 years now, I started experimenting whilst I was in secondary school and it all went from there. The first time I ever coloured my hair I became addicted and then made it a unspoken thing that I would colour my hair every possible colour. Now theres nothing wrong with that but because I did it all myself I had to learn from my mistakes which did eventually end up with my hair looking thin, dry and damaged and just not very happy. This is where extensions came into play.. I could use a couple of rows of clip in extensions and I loved the instant volume I got. As I could older and dabbled in to extensions more I then discovered micro-loop extensions which meant instead of having to take the clip in ones in and out all the time and I could have long luscious hair for longer periods of time. So here comes the pros and cons...

5 Tips For Platinum Blonde Hair

Hey my loves

Today in this post I am just going to give you 10 quick tips about how you can keep your platinum blonde hair in good condition. As a blonde myself I have been bleaching my hair myself for around 6 years and have honestly experienced it all.. Chemical cuts and orange roots.

Tip 1
Coconut oil, enough said. No seriously this stuff is amazing for your hair I have noticed a big difference in how my hair is when it is coloured when I use coconut oil. You can just use it as a deep conditioning hair mask to give your hair a treat but I actually like using it when I am doing a retouch on my roots. I will put the coconut oil in the microwave (or you could use a hair dryer) until it turns into a liquid, then I apply it generously all over my hair and scalp. Once I've done that then I apply my bleach as normal. My hair does not feel as dry and damaged when I do this. You can buy coconut oil from most supermarkets.

Tip 2
Invest in a decent purple shampoo. I can't stress enough how much a good purple shampoo can help us blondes. It will eliminate all the nasty coppery orange tones from our hair and leave our colour looking white and fresher. The one I use on the regular is the L'oreal Silver Expert Shampoo. This is one of the many purple shampoos that I have used that doesn't give my hair a purple tint to it. It really does tone my hair to a gorgeous silvery white. I also have high recommendations for the Provoke Touch Of Silver shampoo. I use purple shampoo once a week.

Purple Shampoo | Blonde Hair Care

Hey guys!!

Today I just wanted to do a real quick post about my favourite purple shampoos for blonde hair. So a little quick back story about me... I have been 'bleach blonde' or 'platinum blonde' for around 6 years now and I have always done my hair myself. So with that being said I feel like a have a slight knowledge from personal experience about what makes a good purple shampoo. Over the years I have honestly tried so many different types, and some have worked, some have made my hair seriously purple, some have left my hair so incredibly dry and some are just plain shit, lol.

So moving on the first products that I want to talk about are from a brand called Directions. Now back in the day when I used to colour my hair all crazy.. (anyone remember 'scene' hair? Yeah...) I had heard about this brand. Manic Panic was a little bit too expensive for me at my young age so I had to look for alternatives. These are honestly so great, and are such a good price.. Firstly they come in a bunch of different colours so even if your not blonde theres something for every one. Secondly considering they are just little small pots a lot goes a long way trust me! The only one out of these that I will use straight out the tub and onto my hair is the one labelled 'white toner'. This is because it is a really light lilac colour. The others I will actually take a smidgen and mix with my normal white conditioner and leave on for around 15/20 minutes.
