Summer Essentials | Hair, Makeup & Fragrance | 2018

Hey loves,

Today I thought I would share with you my summer essentials in terms of hair, makeup and fragrance.

Batiste Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a must for me in the summer months because my hair can tend to get pretty oily but also dry at the ends and I don't want to be washing my hair like 100 times a week so I find that dry shampoo is a life saver. It helps absorb some of the oils and allows me to have more time between washes even when it's hot. I've tried a few different dry shampoos and Batiste is my favourite.

Babyliss Wave Envy
In the summer I enjoy doing more with my hair and one of my favourite styles to wear is the crimped look. I love using this hot tool because the waves can look really natural, some crimpers have a habit of making your hair look a little frizzy but this doesn't do that! My hair will also hold this style until it's next wash so it's really convenient for me.

I cannot say enough good things about coconut oil, it has so many uses for me and it's especially great for the summer time. The ways I like to use coconut oil is to use it as a hair mask because it makes my hair feel so silky and soft or I will use it all over my body as a moisturiser. I have dry skin all over and it helps gives my arms and legs a little natural glow.

Victoria's Secret PINK Shimmer Body Mist
For some reason during summer I am all about using body mists, they are usually more affordable than perfumes and you can just throw them in your bag and you are good to go for the day. Not only is it refreshing on your skin they can smell so lush. I love using the Shimmer Body Mists from Victoria's Secret because I think it adds a little something extra. Who doesn't want to glow and sparkle in the sun light?

Body Fantasies Cotton Candy Body Spray
This is another great body spray that just smells so cute and girly and just reminds me of summer. If you love sweet scents then you definitely need to try this out because it smells delicious and it also lasts forever on me.

Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' Foundation
So in the summer my skin will usually go one or two ways and that is be really dry or be more oily (I guess because I'm sweating more? Gross). For that reason I enjoy using a foundation that has more of a light coverage as it just evens out my skin tone a little and this foundation is more on the dewy side so it leaves a really glowy finish which I love. I wouldn't recommend this foundation for those of you prone to more oily skin as I don't think the lasting power will be very strong.

MAC Cosmetics 'Mineralise Skinfinish' Natural 'Give Me Sun!'
When summer comes around I really try my best to look sun kissed so one of my favourite bronzers to use is 'Give Me Sun!' This is a really warm bronzer which makes your skin look like you've been out in the sun and because of the formula it is really easy to blend and natural looking.

MAC Cosmetics 'Mineralise Skinfinish' Highlighter 'Gold Deposit'
This is a great product if you want to look like you have a healthy glow. Definitely too dark for my skin tone for me to pull off as a highlighter but I love using it as a bronzer topper, it has some shimmer in which helps it illuminate the skin.

NARS Blush 'Orgasm'
Again to help add some dimension to my face I love using Nars' Orgasm. It has little flecks of gold in it and I think it really helps to give the skin a pretty glow, it's a very natural blush which looks good on lots of different skin tones and it just looks lovely in the summer.

Evian Facial Spray
I love having this in my bag when I am out or even when I'm home in the stuffy english summer evenings. Some people think this is a totally overpriced product which I guess in a way it is because it is basically water in a bottle. But because it is an aerosol it means that it come out nice and cool and is really refreshing. You could definitely just put a spray bottle of water in the fridge/freezer and I'm sure it would be similar.

Superdrug Vitamin E Hydrating Mist
This is another refreshing facial mist that I enjoy using and I love this one because it has vitamin E in it so it is good for your skin. It is also really affordable and has a nice scent that isn't over powering. I use this before I've applied my makeup, after I've applied makeup and when I'm bare faced.
