Trying Out W7 Makeup | 2018

Hey loves!

Today I thought I would share my thoughts on W7 makeup.

Blazin' Eyeshadow Palette
For starters this palette comes with 12 shadows that range from mattes to shimmers. I believe there is 4 shimmer shades in the palette and the rest are matte. This palette definitely caught my eye because it reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette. The packaging is also tin so it should travel well and not get damaged. I didn't use all the shades when I tested this palette out but I did really enjoy using it. The matte shades blend like a dream and are really pigmented and just generally easy to work with. In fact easier than some of my more higher end palettes. The shimmers I felt lacked in pigment slightly, I usually like shimmer shadows that look more foiled but I did end up wetting my brush and that did help them appear more bold. I really like this palette and I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of it.

Lashtastic Mascara
After using the eyeshadow palette I moved on to mascara. Now I'm definitely not as in to mascara as I used to be as I tend to wear false lashes on a regular basis that being said I give everything a try. I found the wand of this mascara to be huge and I felt as though I couldn't coat all my lashes as I thought I might poke my eye out and I wasn't even going to attempt applying it to my lower lash line. Would of definitely ended up all down my face. Moving on from the wand I just found this mascara did nothing for my lashes - it didn't lengthen them or really add any volume it just painted them black. So I just didn't really find this very special.

Prime Magic Clear Face Primer
This product is sort of cheating as it wasn't a first impression for me because I literally use this primer every single day. It is a silicone primer which is almost a moussey consistency as it's a lot thicker than some of my other silicone primers and it's not oily feeling. A little goes a long way and it does a great job at smoothing over my pores and making skin feel really nice and soft. I find my foundations always sit well over this primer.

Legend Foundation
This foundation really intrigued me because the packaging is very similar to one of my favourite foundations which is the Estee Lauder Double Wear. To be honest I wouldn't really compare the two now having tried this foundation because this one definitely does't have the same level of coverage. In saying that it does still cover well and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin, I just had certain areas on my face that I had to go over again to get the coverage that I wanted. I found the shade selection pretty poor and the shade I chose which was 'natural beige' was almost ashy looking on my skin tone but obviously that's my fault for buying online so I can't complain too much!

Light Diffusing Concealer
This also intrigued me because the packaging reminded me of the YSL Touche Eclat Concealer. I believe there is only one shade available which is pretty crazy because the concealer isn't ultra light so you could end up having a concealer that is darker than your skin tone which is crazy and they also need to make shades for people with deeper skin tones. It applied and blended nicely and it did definitely brighten up the areas where I applied it but I felt I could of done with it being more full coverage - but that is obviously just my personal preference.

The Cheeky Trio Palette
I picked this little palette up because I thought it would be handy to have since it includes a bronzer, blush and a highlighter. I think the blush blended really nicely and was a nice shade and the highlighter was pretty too although nothing to write home about in my opinion. I like more shimmery in your face highlighters whereas this was definitely more natural. The bronzer on the other hand I hated, it was just much too light for me to use and I'm pretty pale! It was a little shimmery and I just don't think it would look good on many skin tones. Maybe if you were pretty pale but it comes across as more of a blusher. But I did enjoy the other two shades.

The Bronzer - Matte
Again I already owned this product but I decided to use this instead of using one from the palette mentioned above. This is just a great matte bronzer, I think the shade is ideal for me and you only need to dip your brush into it a tiny bit because it's really pigmented. It blends out nicely and doesn't leave any harsh lines or skip on your foundation so overall I highly recommend this bronzer!

Go Strobe Yourself - Duo Strobing Stick
If you've read any of my previous posts I'm sure you've gathered that highlighting products are one of my favourite makeup products to buy. With this strobing stick you get two different colour choices; a champagne shade and a more pinky shade. I thoroughly enjoy using products like this as a base for my powder highlighters so this was no exception. It perform really well on my skin and didn't interfere or cling to any of my foundation, and the the glow was really pretty.
